“What Is The Gospel”

Chadd walks through what the Gospel is and why it is important for everybody to seek to understand. Few today know or embrace the cause of Jesus Christ. Christ took our sin, was tortured and died for those that know Him with a desire to truly live through the blood of His sacrifice. Christ alone rose from the dead.

We were created for Christ and given freewill. Without Christ we are always trying to do good but never able to achieve. Everything in Scripture points to Christ who was a sinless man. Because of that we crucified Him. He took all with wickedness upon himself and bore the burden of our sins and died then He bodily rose from the dead giving us the option to have victory over death & eternal damnation. He alone is worthy thus allowing us victory.

Does He Know You?

Everything in Scripture points to Christ. Never forget the sacrifice.

Best instructions for the times, or any time for that matter, look straight ahead and don’t look left or right, don’t be distracted or get sidetracked. Above all, guard your heart. Sounds simple, but in a world full of distractions and a constant flood of useless information one can easily get lost in a sea of seemingly interesting distractions. These phones we hold in our hands are the worst tool ever for doing so. Maybe we all need to discipline ourselves to lay them down for multiple hours each day, the same with our computers and certainly our TVs. What if we all declared an electronics fast? Who could last in such a fast? Only the wise and disciplined ones!

Remember when the phone hung on the wall inside the house and we rarely heard it ring because we spent our days outside? Remember when the TV didn’t turn on until the 6 PM news and we only had a station or two to watch? Remember when there were no recording devices to go back and find out what we missed while we weren’t there? Remember when books were made of paper and you actually picked it up and turned the page? Remember #2 pencils and writing pads? Remember when our world wasn’t flooded with electromagnetic fields other than AM radios and power lines? Remember when a person could smile or laugh without worrying about offending someone, somewhere? Remember when privacy was a sacred thing and enjoyed often?

When solitude wasn’t confused with loneliness and silence wasn’t confused with boredom? Have we progressed or digressed? We cannot turn the whole world back to these simpler and more human times, but we can turn back ourselves now and again because we remember how to function that way, much of civilization does not know how to even attempt it anymore. Can we return to the “old paths” now and again just to regain our sanity? Maybe if we get still enough, unencumbered enough, we can still hear that small, still voice that still speaks wisdom, still speaks truth and still can fill us with Faith, Hope, Joy and Love. It certainly would be worth a try!

Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.

For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.

For I was my father’s son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.

He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.

Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.

12 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.

13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.

15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.

16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
